Quiet Hooves, Bird Names, Darla Farmer at a backyard in Crown Heights

Quiet Hooves, a gang of lovable hooligans from Athens, Georgia, was my favorite discovery at this year’s SXSW. Whether it was playing a hill top at 2AM or rocking out at the back of a thrift store, it seemed like they were always the ones up to most interesting things. They’re currently touring with Bird Names, an experimental pop outfit from Chicago, and both are stopping in New York for a few dates. Naturally, we jumped on the chance to host a show for them, and it’s gonna be on May 25th; in Crown Heights no less (official home of this blog); at the backyard of a burger joint, even; open to the public for FREE, what’s more! On Memorial Day, say what?! So why don’t you put on your herb-fries-loving best and come out?!

Bird Names are great friends of ours from Chicago, and it’s funny that they’re playing a block away from our house. Stoked that the party has come to our neighborhood. Hope to see you out! We rep CH all the time!
