Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes is my favorite tweeter ever
When bands get on Twitter just because someone told them they’re supposed to be on it, it kind of defeats the purpose because if you don’t genuinely feel the need to tweet, you probably make a really boring tweeter. Robin Pecknold is my gold standard, which is why I’ve just added a new category devoted to his tweeting activities. I hope to bring you (myself) his best of. It looks like he had a few prolific hours while I was out last night, and I returned home to these gems.

For whatever reason, he deleted this one, but it was one of his finest moments:
rpecknold Rode a horse for the first time ever, pretty sweet but also amusement park ride-y? Had a huge urge to hi ho silver into the hills at speed

uh. mildly amusing at best. isn’t twittering pure narcissism? does anyone really care? how about ever time you feel like leaving a tweet you go and make a $3 donation to a charity or something? this whole society is absorbed with the self.

isn’t any form of self-expression a little dose of narcissism then? how about you send me $3 every time you leave a comment here?
