More bands and lots of mp3’s after the jump. Also, which famous band did I sight this morning?

Death by Audio: NYC Taper went to last night’s Best Friends Forever show at The Tank, which means you can grab the recording on his website. The band’s playing tonight with Vivian Girls // Union Pool: The Muslims is playing its third NYC show this week, in the spirit of the Summer Olympics as I like to say, and Howlies is playing its second, joining them is The Gang.

Le Royale: Jukebox The Ghost’s show has moved to Le Royale, and I’ve no clues as to who their special guest might be. I think it’s The Muslims, showing up at Le Royale while playing Union Pool. Pattern Is Movement is on the bill, however, so it’s already kind of special (watch their take-away show). Joining them is Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears.

Pianos: Needless to say, reigning princes Passion Pit play the second of their residency shows while scrubbing their back with bubbles of attention and adoration; those prickly bursts of snarky criticism, meanwhile, will be good for the nail cuticles (see pictures from last week). Joining them are D. Gookin and All These Kings.

Union Hall: My Teenage Stride, Boat, and Creeping Weeds, whose tour dates this month are a break from the work on their new album // Southpaw: Early Greyhound, Smokewagon, and Changing Holes, who sounds really weird–they’d definitely make your grand ma puke // Trash Bar: Lots of baddish music from Cuddles Kovinsky, The Dutch East India Company, Whales & Cops (ex-Man Man), Fitzo Perfecto, Murder.

I saw a platinum-blonde rock-and-roller surrounded by guitar cases and bandmates walking on the sidewalk this morning. I thought, “Evergreen? Everlast?”. Help me internet: it was Everclear! They were walking out of a radio station after promoting, I’m sure, their show tonight at Webster Hall with Soul Asylum (nostalgic sigh) and Cracker.
